CWC Welcomes Jane Austin to November 19 Meeting
Crete Woman’s Club November Program
With the help of a grant from the Illinois Humanities Council, the Crete Woman’s Club welcomes Debra Miller at the Lincolnshire Country Club on November 19.
Debra becomes Jane Austen who visits us in the autumn of 1815, the most vibrant and hopeful time of her life. This 45 minute performance delves into the personal life of one of the most beloved and intriguing novelists of the 19th century. Jane speaks about her childhood, her family, her mentor, and her writing. By the end of the program, the audience knows more about Miss Jane Austen the woman, as well as the author. The presentation is followed by a Question and Answer session.
Penned by Crete Woman’s Club member Audrey DeMuth, In Their Footsteps records a century of history for the organization. Buy it today on Amazon by clicking on the cover above!
