CWC 27TH ANNUAL GARDEN WALK AND BOUTIQUE FAIRE

Mark your calendars for June 27, 28 and 29. The time is quickly approaching for our 27th annual Garden Walk and Faire. Our garden walk committee works year round and we have 5 beautiful gardens this year. During the next few months you will have the opportunit02315-pk-p1y to volunteer to help make this event the success it has been for the past 26 years! We need 85 volunteers over this 3 day event so please reserve a day to help make it a success. Last year a check was presented to the CWC in the amount of $10,000 due to the hard work and dedication of all our volunteers. The garden walk is our chief fundraiser for scholarships and philanthropy so contact your friends and family to join us for a fun day of beautiful gardens, shopping at our unique boutique faire and lunch! Tickets go on sale in MAY and we will be selling them at our spring luncheon.

Salvation Army Bell Ringers

Sherry Behrent and Mary Fran Nolan, co-chairs of the Salvation Army collection Committee, would like to thank the wonderful ladies who rang the Salvation Army Bell. We collected a record breaking amount of $1,250.00 The Salvation Army is so grateful for our wonderful work that we will have red CWC aprons when we ring the bell next year. Also, we are so thankful for the gracious and helpful employees at Walt’s Food Center. We thank Carl Behrent and Wally Olczak for much needed help!

2016 Cookie Walk

ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL COOKIE WALK A heartfelt THANK YOU to the 86 bakers and volunteers who helped make our Third Annual Cookie Walk a huge success. We earned over $3000 for the club and received $500 in donations. Our Crete community looks forward to this event each year and we now have the solid reputation of having the “prettiest” cookies compared to other cookie walks. Congratulations for a job well done and to our Cookie Walk chair Cindy Westerman and her committee.
