$500 Mother/Grandmother Student Scholarship Info Submissions are now being accepted for the two annual Crete Woman’s Club Mother/Grandmother Student Scholarship. Here are the criteria: • The Mother/Grandmother sponsoring a child or grandchild must be a CWC member in good standing. • The child or grandchild must be graduating from high school in the year 2009, or have graduated from high school in 2006, 2007, or 2008. • The child or grandchild must be enrolled in a trade school or college. • The student must enroll in school as a full-time student. • A child or grandchild may only win once. • Sponsors may only win once at the same drawing (i.e., only one child/grandchild per sponsor). • Sponsors can submit the names of all eligible children and grandchildren. • The student need not live in the Crete area. All entries should be submitted in writing to Second Vice President Audrey DeMuth 718 W. Exchange St. A3, Crete, IL 60417. Entries must include the following information: name of CWC sponsor, name of student, year of high school graduation, and school he or she will be attending. If you know the field of study, you may include that. Entries will be taken now and up to the drawing at the Spring Luncheon on May 15, 2009. Immediately prior to the drawing, all submitted names will be read and assigned a number, to assure that no students have been overlooked. A check for $500 will be issued to each winner upon enrollment in school. This money can be used for tuition or scholastic supplies.
